Portrait of Salvador Dalí Salvador Dalí as painted on the Wall of Artists mural at Western High School

Who was he?

Salvador Dalí was born on May 11th, 1904 in Figueres, Spain. He died at the age of 89 on January 23rd, 1989.

This Spanish painter would encourage hallucinations from himself to paint subconscious themes. He would paint images where common objects would be deformed and warped in a bizarre fashion. In the late 1930s, his painting style took a sudden turn. He would paint more about his wife, religion, and childhood memories.
